Great Visions of True Leader

The one thing that distinguishes great leaders from other is the strength, depth and breadth of their vision. Vision is a strange concept. It’s much more than just a goal or purpose. Target just say what we want to achieve. Visions provide a complete picture that describes our most cherished dreams, hopes and opportunities.

1. Opportunities. The ability to see possibilities that others do not is one of the characteristics of the great leaders. Where most of us just see a lot of goods, leaders see an exciting product that can change a person’s life. Where most of us see an office with space for desks and filing cabinets, leaders see a place where teams can do groundbreaking work. What most of us see people with names and titles, see leaders new organizational champions.

2. Clear and convincing. Management author, these people all had one thing in common: a clear and compelling vision of what they wanted. For them, the vision is not at a future date. It was right before their eyes.

3. A vision without Borders. The really great leaders do not set limits to their vision. They go to the biggest dream, they can even imagine if it is only realized at a later date when they are no longer around. There is a story about filmmaker Walt Disney, who died six years before the opening of the first Disney World. At the opening ceremony. Two Disney executives together One of them said, a shame that Walt could not be here to view. The other replied, You’re wrong, Walt did see. That is why it is here. While most of us see no more than three months can be outstanding leaders in the distance several years.

4. Others in the drawing. Leaders do more than a vision of what is possible, they articulate and draw others in. They do this through metaphor, images, and by triggering the innate desire of every human being is a part of something big.

5. Action. Without action, visions just dreams. They are creations of our imagination, no more. But with action and the ability to see the steps from where we are now where we can be, dream a reality. There is a clear roadmap for achieving the vision.

We all have dreams, but few of us remember our dreams, let alone act. But the leaders are different. They make a difference to our lives and our collective lives. They do this by conquering our dreams, nurture them with care and in the fullness of time to bring us into the glorious light of day.
